Well said Wickle!

I started reading the first section or too not too long ago and pretty much nixed the whole deal for most of the same arguments that your making now, especially that last bit where you mentioned concerning, salvation, grace & faith being absent.

You’d think “we” would learn from past mistakes about getting in bed with politics/activism/”movements”… another case of “having confidence in the flesh”, by way of seeking man-centered/contrived solutions to spiritual matters. Oh well.. thank God indeed for blessing us with discerning hearts and minds to see the matter for what it truly is.

Hope you and the family’s Thanksgiving day celebration is a safe and enjoyable one.

Jason, thank you! That’s terrific! Yes, it’s sort of a token exercise, but even starting there would help us start to get the feel of the rest of the world. There are parts of the world where water is a luxury, and we have people buying plastic bottles of the stuff because they don’t like their tap water!

We could use a few exercises like that.

there is an interesting companion site to the book – that has a 42-day online journal with a daily thought/action about poverty and justice. one of the days asks you to wear the same clothes as you did the day before (as most of the world doesn’t have a closet full of clothes) http://www.sixweekquest.com
