A shame they dont try to defend Christian rights in islamic nations. But thats asking for too much, isnt it? Why do “progressive” “Christians” care more about muslims than real Christians?
So then, my opposition to Islam. Based upon being shot at by by Muslims, and seeing beheading’s by them in places like Africa and the Middle East years ago, is somehow related to right wing extremist Christians in the here and now? Or perhaps I should be endorsing their practice of honor killing such as occurred in Arizona recently?
While I am certainly not saying that they should all be rounded up and executed or deported. I do believe that refusing to address what is clearly going on is irresponsible. To say the least.
There’s a difference between dealing with behavior and a group.
For example … what about the thousands of Muslims who serve in the US military honorably? I’m not talking about Maj. Hasan, I’m talking about the other ~15,000 of them.
Most Muslims are not beheading anyone, and don’t want to.
Most aren’t committing honor killings.
Let’s get into a comparison here … Most people on the right of center are against hate crimes laws because they argue that murder is murder, whether you’re killing a person because he’s black or to steal his car, right?
It’s wrong to kill your daughter, whether it’s because she was seen in public with a man not related to her or some other reason, right? The problem isn’t Islam, it’s murder.
Sure, you were shot at by Muslims. Meanwhile, Muslims were serving as translators for the medics at the back of the lines to support you. Muslims were helping to inform your commanders where insurgents were. Islam as a whole is not the problem. If it was, we’d be doomed, since there are about a billion Muslims in the world.
To accuse me of endorsing honor killing is more than a bit of a stretch.

Elric, you know nothing of real Christians.
Grace and love figure quite prominently in our ethics. Bigotry is completely off-limits.

Guess you couldnt answer the question. No shocker there.

Well said, Wickle.
I cannot worry about other countries much, especially when mine is about to do to Muslims what Islamic countries do to Christians.

Actually, Elric, that was an answer. You just didn’t like it.
Good bye.
