Why It Doesn’t Stick

With all of the wild quotes and accusations going around — again — in this campaign season, I’ve spent some time looking at issues that do and don’t have legs. I actually have a running list of things about which I think no one cares, and I tend to be right. Generally, they go away after a day or two of someone ranting about it and no one listening (examples: the Mitt Romney dog story, the waitress who says Hillary Clinton didn’t tip her, whether Hillary Clinton is named after Sir Edmund Hillary, whether Barack Obama said in kindergarten that he wants to be President, and many more).
