Over on Fundamentally Reformed, there’s a great post worth noting about the support for Mike Huckabee from Evangelicals.

The comparison to Mitt Romney might not matter so much anymore, but it’s still a great explanation of Evangelicals’ approach to politics.

No disrespect, but Huckabee is a bit of a superstitious right wing nob.

Thank goodness it’s McCain…restores some semblance of respect and trust in the States.

Edit (Wickle) - I removed the link because of how you’re conducting yourself. Perhaps you need to learn the meaning of the phrase “No disrespect.” Everything else you said clearly betrays your lack of respect. If you want to try again, feel free to do so.

Ah. I see. So you pretend to facilitate free speech by allowing my comment, but then completely defeat the object of allowing my voice by removing the link.

Either leave the post in its entirely or delete the whole thing. Otherwise, what’s the point?

If you don’t like what someone says, challenge it.

I thought Americans were all about freedom and liberty and the right to speech etc etc.

Also, what’s being a ‘devout Christian’ got to do with your burgeoning desire to get a right wing Republican into power?

Can’t you practice your faith without intermingling your religious beliefs (personal) with your political beliefs (public, societal)?

Very odd.

Sounds like you have an axe to grind, if you ask me.

This is a good post. I do think there is emerging a “New Evangelical” who is concerned about a broader range of Biblical pro-life issues (including addressing poverty, caring for Creation, showing hospitality to resident aliens). Huckabee certainly represents these folks more than other Republican or Democratic candidates.
