Whatever happens …

Mitt Romney had declared that Mike Huckabee had won his last contest a few weeks ago.

Tonight, it’s pretty clear that he was wrong.

Alabama, Georgia, Arkansas, West Virginia, and possibly Tennessee  clearly put the lie to Gov. Romney’s declaration.

Also, clearly, a lot of voters aren’t listening to the pundits who say that Gov. Huckabee is something other than a real candidate.

As Mike Huckabee said in his speech tonight,  we can see the power of a small, smooth stone against armor.

This is not a good night for Mitt Romney. It’s a lot better for John McCain than I’d like.

One thing, though, that we’ve seen is that real people are voting. And they’re voting their own hearts and minds, not listening to the talkers.

Apparently, money isn’t everything.

What I loved is how well Huckabee did in his home state… compared to what they did in theirs. :)

That’s true … supposedly, Mike Huckabee destroyed the Republican Party in Arkansas. Apparently, the Republicans of Arkansas don’t agree.

Eventually, I’ll be looking at the numbers on how much each of these guys paid for these races … the cost-benefit for Gov. Romney can’t be good.

At this moment, CA is only giving him 25% and he was shut out of the South.

I am suprised at the Missouri results… I haven’t looked at the maps, but I am wondering if St Louis isn’t what gave the edge to MCCain

I agree… the cost/benifit for Romney is very poor.

Regarding Missouri, it appears to have been St. Louis and Kansas city that boosted McCain.

Regarding Arkansas, I’m sure that Phyllis Schlafley has her knickers in a knot right now seeing that the broken pieces of the Arkansas GOP pulled together to vote for the man that supposedly destroyed them.

Thanks OneMom - I wondered if it wasnlt the big citites that did it.

I loved seeing the over 60% from a man who supposedly destroyed the party… :D

That’s the key - that we vote with our hearts and minds. No matter how improbable the victory or likely the defeat.
