And here it is …

Super Tuesday.

The big day.

For the tremendous number of people going to the polls today (including both of my brothers and their wives and my friends in various places around the country), I hope that everyone votes his or her conscience.

I know that certain people have declared one candidate or another to be hopeless, and have pulled out the tired old “A vote for him is a vote for some other person” line. It’s not true.

Vote for the candidate you believe best suits your values. Whoever it is, that’s the person for whom you should vote.

I would encourage Republicans to vote for Mike Huckabee. I think that I’ve spelled out my reasons pretty well, and I won’t do it again in this post.

In the Republican primary right now, there are four national candidates. Two of them believe that that they are owed the nomination — one because he’s done his time, the other because he’s spent the most money. The other two have asked for your support.

Two of them have frequent and dramatic changes in their professed principles and beliefs. The other two are consistent.

Two of them have demonstrated executive leadership in government. The other two are legislators only.

The question to ask yourself is this: Which candidate best suits your values? Which would you want as your President?

Vote your conscience and your values. Living in New Hampshire, I have already, proudly and happily, cast my vote for Mike Huckabee. However the primary race turns out, I have no regrets for what I did. Make sure that you will feel the same way.

Don’t let anyone tell you how you should cast your vote. Make up your own mind.

That was well said, Wickle. My wife and myself will be casting our votes for Mike Huckabee in the Oklahoma primary tomorrow and even if he does not win the nomination, our votes were not wasted and we can rest assured we did what we could to elect the best candidate possible. We, too, will have no regrets.

    Thanks, Larry.

Remember what they say: Vote early, vote often. ;-)
