Maine Caucuses
February 1, 2008 — wickleThis weekend brings to us the Maine caucuses, which are considered non-binding and don’t, strictly, assign the delegates. For those who are interested, this is considered a “modified closed” caucus. Only registered Republicans can participate, but new voters and independents can register as Republicans on site as little as half an hour before the caucus. Those who have declared for other parties had to have changed at least 15 days ago.
Tonight, I will be speaking on behalf of Mike Huckabee at one of the caucus gatherings … in Hallowell, ME (Kennebec County). It should be fun. I’ll post my speech after I’ve … well, frankly … after I’ve finished writing it.
