Nathan Tabor on Mike Huckabee

Nathan Tabor, the founder of the Conservative Voice, has a great piece about Mike Huckabee and the Republican nomination. This is a very interesting look at Gov. Huckabee from someone who isn’t inherently one of his supporters, explaining the reasons why Gov. Huckabee’s nomination is in the best interests of the GOP.

As someone whose principles are far more pro-life than anything else, I especially valued this paragraph:

An avowed supporter of the pro-life movement and traditional marriage, Huckabee also offers a fresh perspective on the culture of life. By speaking on the genocide in Darfur and the slaughter of the unborn in America in the same breath, he has effectively linked America’s responsibility to the unborn and its responsibility to champion freedom and protect the innocent abroad. Super Tuesday

I promised a post about Super Tuesday yesterday, and didn’t get it finished … frankly, between a world-record-breaking-sloppy diaper and the resulting laundry, I had other things to do. (There’s a joke here about choosing dirty diapers over politics … I’m not sure what it is. Feel free to make suggestions in the Comments, but remember my prudery.)

As I said in my Florida post, I don’t think that Mayor Giuliani will be a major factor by then. I expect the slow death of his campaign to escalate after his third-place finish in Florida, which is vital to his campaign. Everything I say after this is predicated on that.
