Sean Hannity’s Obsessions

If you’ve listened to Sean Hannity lately, then you’ve surely heard him refer to his show as the “Stop Hillary Express.” Besides being obnoxious, Hannity is making a very, very important mistake.

He’s presenting to the world that no one is more important than Hillary Clinton. He’s reinforcing her position in the Democratic primary, and in the electorate. By being so obsessive, he’s actually helping her. Not only is he helping her in the primary (which, frankly, she probably always had wrapped up), he’s fueling her in general. “Growing Young”

“Growing Young” has been my favorite song for several years now, almost since the first time that I heard it. It’s one of Rich Mullins’ best, off of his album “The World As Best As I Remember It, Vol. 2.” It’s a soft, gentle, beautiful song that flows nicely. As always with Rich Mullins, the song is a fairly-simple outpouring of love and feeling.

It’s based on the story of the Prodigal Son, and making it personal. This is one of the songs that I can’t sing without choking up at least a bit, and which is deeply and profoundly worshipful. I’m going to work my way through this song this evening, because I haven’t done so in a while, but it’s a good thing to do with meaningful songs. Read the rest of this entry »
