Another good reason not to live in San Francisco

I thought about linking to pictures from the Folsom Street Fair in SF, but the more I looked at them, the more I couldn’t stand to do it, even with a disclaimer.

If you really feel the need to see what kind of perversion people are willing to display in public, google it yourself. But don’t say I didn’t warn you … these are not nice pictures.

The Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights has called for a boycott of the Miller Brewing Company in response to its sponsorship of the event. Miller has apologized, but the League has not yet reversed the decision.

I do not drink, but I’d like to pass along the boycott. The Catholic League is right, this is a disgusting display — a female stripper was hoisted in a cage above a Catholic church during Mass.

I’m not Catholic. But this kind of thing should not happen. It has nothing to do with freedom of speech, gay rights, or anything else worthy of discussion. It’s perversion, and it’s open hatred for the Catholic Church and Catholics.

I’ve never been to the US, nor do I know a great deal about it. But I think that San Fransisco is, aesthetically, the most beautiful US city I’ve seen.
I’d say that certain aspects of these events should probably happen out of the sight of the public. Having said that, I don’t think that boycotting a company which sponsors such an event is appropriate either.
How many things are catholics boycotting now?
