Criminals Taken Into Custody

… and other obvious news …

Plainfield, NH has been freed from the excessive media spotlight and has lost its two most annoying residents. Ed and Elaine Brown, a couple convicted of tax evasion and constantly insisting that there is no income tax law, and that there is no reason for them to pay these taxes, have been taken into custody.

Finally.

Frankly, it’s about time. The Browns had sworn that they would never be taken alive, and held their little parties in their compound. Ed appeared for press conferences with a pistol in his belt. All kinds of anti-government malcontents showed up — even Randy Weaver , who’s always up for a lunatic photo-op, made an appearance. I’m not sure if we know yet whether he delivered any sawed-off shotguns for them.

The agitators were disrupting Plainfield, demanding that the local and state police defend the Browns from the U.S. Marshals, and setting the town up for more trouble.

News flash: the Browns are criminals. They’re convicts. They deserve to be arrested. That’s what we’re supposed to do with criminals. They’re going to jail for five years or more … and good riddance.

Or, maybe, they’re true patriots. That’s what Ron Paul said. He actually compared these gun-toting nuts to Gandhi. I can see his point … you know, except that Gandhi was standing up for an oppressed people, and the Browns are just a couple of lunatics.
